Prayer FOR Schools

The Greenville community will be gathering in prayerat Fresh Grounds Coffeehouse on Tuesday August 25, 2015 at 6:30 pm. This will be a time to ask God to protect and bless the area schools and students as they begin a new school year.

Have You Written Something Lately?

Have you ever written a poem or prayer and shared it with someone in pain, then had them tell you that they were comforted by it? Maybe you have written something inspirational but were afraid to share it with anyone (we all are probably that way!).

We would like to produce and self-publish a book of inspirational thoughts, prayers and poems written by Crossroads people... everyone from kids to the elderly... so get into wherever you have been stashing all of those treasures and share your hearts with the hurting.

We will collect materials for several months, then try to put it all together and publish next winter. There is time to start writing now!

Greenville National Day of Prayer Event

The National Day of Prayer local event, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Greenville, will be held on Thursday May 2, 2013 at Central Park. Music begins at 11:30 am with prayers to follow at 12 noon. All are welcome. Lunch will be served at Fresh Grounds at 12:30 pm with donations accepted to cover the cost of lunch.

Regular Monthly Congregational Prayer Meeting to Start

On Sunday October 2, 2011 at 6:00 pm there will be a congregational prayer meeting instead of Bible Study. This will be the regular practice for the first Sunday of each month. The Elders believe that it is the Lord’s will for our church to give corporate (i.e. group, congregational) prayer a more prominent place in church life. All are urged to plan to attend. It will be exciting to see how God will work in deeper and fuller ways in our midst as we as a congregation obey His call to more fervent prayer.

Do you have loved ones you long to see saved? Do you long to see God glorify Himself in our communities through the gospel going forth? Do you long to see a deeper faith, love, and holiness among us as the people of God? Do you want our Savior Jesus to see the fruit of His sacrificial death on the cross as His church prospers in our day? Then let us join together to pray, believing that God will bless, because He has both commanded us in His Word to pray and promised to bless the prayers of His gathered people.

Prayer for Schools

On Tuesday evening August 24, 2010 there will be a Prayer for the Schools gathering. Believers from around our community will meet to pray for God’s blessings of safety and help for the students, teachers, and administration of our schools during the upcoming school year. The service will be at 7:00 pm at Fresh Grounds and all are encouraged to attend.

New Summer Sunday Evening Bible Study Series to Start

The Sunday evening Bible Study will begin a summer series on June 27, 2010 to look at the prayers of Paul in the New Testament. These are powerful prayers which teach how to pray for ourselves and others. Also included will be ways to study the Bible such as passage outlining and word studies.

The Bible Study meets on Sunday evenings for 6:00-7:00 pm and are led by Pastor Todd Jaussen.

Prayer Meeting (UPDATED)

Prayer is one of the most important actions of a Christian. And gathering together as one body is a time when we can say to God that we can't do this alone. We are incapable of saving anyone; only God through His grace can save our souls.

We will be assembling on Thursday January 13, 2010 at 7:30 pm for group prayer. Please attend this important function.

UPDATE: A second prayer meeting for January has been set for Thursday January 28, 2010 at 7:30 pm.

Prayer for New School Year

There will be a prayer service for the benefit of the staff and students of the Greenville School district and Keystone Charter School on Tuesday August 25, 2009 beginning at 6:00 pm. The service will start in front of the Hempfield School (Fredonia Road), then participants will travel by the own transportation to the Greenville High School (Donation Road), East Elementary (Columbia Avenue), and finish the service at the Keystone Elementary Center (South Good Hope Road). All members of the community interested in participating are welcome to attend. Questions can be addressed to April Knierman.
