Bell Ringers Needed

Crossroads has reserved the Food Entrance at the Greenville Walmart for Friday December 11, 2015 to ring the bells from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm for the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle drive. Please sign up in pairs (2 people per hour time slot).

The Christmas kettle effort is the Salvation Army's largest fundraising endeavor, accounting for a third of their annual budget.

Red Kettle Bell Ringing Time

Winter is on the horizon and so is the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle drive. Crossroads has reserved the Food Entrance at the Greenville Walmart for Saturday December 6, 2014 to ring the bells from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. There is a signup sheet. Please sign up in pairs (2 people per hour time slot).

Sign up for Salvation Army Bellringing

Christmas is coming and we are scheduled to man the Salvation Army Christmas kettle on December 7, 2013 at the Greenville WalMart. Time slots are available for 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Two or more volunteers are needed for each one hour time slot.

Attention Bell Ringers

It's already time to think about the Salvation Army Kettle Drive. They are getting ready for their annual drive to help raise funds for those in need during the holidays and throughout the year. 100% of the money collected stays in the Greenville area.

We will be manning the kettle at the Food entrance of the Greenville WalMart on Saturday December 1, 2012 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Two or more volunteers are required for each one hour time slot.

It's Time to Ring Some Bells Again

It's that time of year again and the Salvation Army needs our help. As times have gotten tougher, there's more demand on the services they provide to the Greenville area. Their Christmas kettles not only allow them to provide holiday assistance, it also helps provide services throughout the entire year to families and individuals who are experiencing financial difficulties.

Follow Up: Salvation Army Bell Ringing Results

What a tremendous contribution has been made by those who braved the elements to ring bells for the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign this past Christmas! The Salvation Army extend sincere thanks and appreciation for another job well done. Crossroads raised $614.87 for the kettle effort during their allotted time.

Women's Meeting and Christmas Party (UPDATED)

On Tuesday December 8, 2009 at 7:00 pm the Women's Ministry will hold their annual Christmas Party. All women of the church are encouraged to attend. The special emphasis this year is the donation of items needed by the Salvation Army that are not usually available for purchase with food stamps. See Cyndi Sankey for a list of needed items or more information.

UPDATE: The Salvation Army donation is being done in lieu of a gift exchange. The items needed by the Salvation Army are:

  • Household cleaning supplies

  • Laundry soap

  • Bleach

  • Fabric softener or dryer sheets

  • Paper towels

  • Toilet paper

  • Diapers for adults or toddlers

  • Feminine hygiene products

  • Personal hygiene items

  • Aspirin

  • Tylenol for children or adults

  • Tissues


Please bring your donation to the church by Tuesday December 8, 2009.

Also those attending will be making lap blankets and shoulder wraps to give to those who need a little extra warmth during our services. So bring your favorite recipe card along with a finger-food or a treat to share.

Come On -- Ring That Bell (UPDATED)

The Salvation Army is getting ready for their annual Christmas Kettle Drive. 100% of the money collected in the kettles goes directly toward providing services to our local community. Our church is slotted for Saturday December 5, 2009 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm at the Greenville Wal-Mart Food Entrance. If you are interested in volunteering to "Ring the Bell" for the Salvation Army, please sign up. Two persons are required for each hour.

UPDATE: There still are a few slots available for bell ringers. Please sign up to help fill our 12 hour commitment.
