2018 VBS Plans

Planning is getting started for the 2018 VBS week. It will be held the week of July 16-20, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm each evening. Mary Buchanan is leading the effort. Various volunteer positions are needed; see where you can help out.

VBS is Coming!

The 2017 edition of Vacation Bible School will address the question based on Acts 17:22-31: Who is this God, and what does He want from me? It will take place July 24-28, 2017 at Crossroads. Fun, games, snacks, and Bible lessons will be offered daily for children from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade from 9:00 m to 11:00 am.

VBS is open to all children of the area.

2016 VBS Planned... Help Needed

Crossroads will be holding morning Vacation Bible School from Monday August 1 - Friday August 5, 2016 from 9:30 am - 11:30 am daily. Teachers, helpers, and snack planners are needed. Please see Joyce Keeley if you can assist in one of these areas.

Also, as a closing event, a picnic is being planned for Sunday August 7, 2016 following the Worship Service.

Summer Get-Togethers Planned (UPDATED)

On the first Sunday evening of June, July, and August 2015 a congregational get-together will be held prior to the monthly prayer meeting.

The June 7, 2015 get-together will be a pot-luck supper at 4:30 pm. Please bring a favorite dish to share.

On July 5, 2015 at 5:30 pm Crossroads will be hosting Central Community Church and Hartford Community Church for a pig roast. Update: Following the meal Gary Meikle will be presenting a devotional as the three churches join in prayer.

Wrap up the summer get-togethers on Sunday August 29, 2015 with a pot-luck picnic at 4:30 pm.

Update: The August get-together is postponed to Sunday August 9, 2015 due to a scheduling conflict.

Summer Adult Sunday School Study Announced

Beginning Sunday June 2, 2013 all adult Sunday School classes will meet together to study the classic book Of the Mortification of Sin in Believers by John Owen. Please sign up if you are planning on attending so a count can be obtained for ordering copies of the book. (One paper version per household.) Links are available at Christian Classics Ethereal Library for electronic versions in online, pdf, audio, Amazon Kindle ebook, or Apple iBook formats. Google Play is a source for Android devices.

Preparing for VBS

Family VBS will be July 16-20, 2012 and your help is needed. The life and lessons of Daniel will be explored. Please sign-up if you are willing to help making this week an amazing outreach to kids and families!

Looking For VBS Help

For anyone interested in helping run a VBS program for the summer of 2012 there will be a meeting on Sunday March 18, 2012 in the kitchen following the worship service.

Church Family Picnic

Join us for a church family picnic on Sunday August 1, 2010 at the home of Lee and Michelle Earnhardt. This will be a “pot providence” picnic (what some call “pot luck” only we don’t believe in luck but in Divine Providence!!!). The picnic will be at 5:00 pm and then Bible Study will be at our regular time at 6:00 pm. Come on out and build deeper relationships with the body of Christ and grow in your faith through the study of God’s Word!!

Crossroads To Include Route 254 (UPDATED)

This summer's family Bible school will be Route 254 the week of July 18-24, 2010. Plan to be here for the family fun! For those desiring to serve during this week-long program, please sign up or see Annie Ball for more details.

Calling All Campers: 2009 Camping Weekend Set (UPDATED)

Just a reminder that the Church Camping Weekend is fast approaching. It will be held September 11—13, 2009 at Pymatuning State Park in Andover, OH. There is a signup sheet available for those who plan to camp. You will need to make your own reservations. More information will follow. Questions can be directed to Ray Murrin.

Update: Ray has announced that a few trailers are available to rent for the weekend for those who do not have a camper. See Ray soon if you are interested.

3rd 2009 Summer Fellowship Gathering Coming August 9

The 3rd Summer Fellowship Gathering of the year will be hosted by the Keeleys on Sunday August 9, 2009 at the church. We will eat at 5:00 p.m. Please bring a dish of food to share for our meal. Drinks will be provided. After the meal, Pete will present a slide show and Bible study which will focus on the awesomeness of God and the uniqueness of Christ.

Family Bible School Almost Here!

This summer we are having a unique Bible School program aimed at entire families. On the evenings of August 3 to 7, 2009 from 6:30-8:30 pm there will be activities, lessons, crafts, games, and snacks geared for family groups. Even if you do not have young children, we have something for you, too. Why should the kids have all the fun? Get the word out for this special event!

There will be a very important meeting on Sunday August 2, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 pm for all volunteers involved with the program.

2nd Summer Fellowship Gathering on Calendar

A summer fellowship gathering will be hosted by the Haller's at the church on Sunday July 26, 2009 at 4:00 pm. Come enjoy an evening of worship music, food, and fellowship. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided. Please bring a favorite dish to share.

1st Summer Fellowship Gathering Scheduled

The first summer fellowship gathering of 2009 will be held Sunday July 19, 2009 at the Jaussen's home. The fun starts at 3:00 pm with dinner at 5:00 pm. Please bring a pot of food, your swimsuit, a lawn chair, and a Bible. We will be discussing the topic: What do I do when my spiritual fire is low? These fellowship times are to increase our closeness and relationships as the family of God.

Digging Deeper

"Digging Deeper" is what we do during the summer for the adult Sunday School hour. We discuss the sermon and dig deeper into the Bible, going beyond what is preached during the worship service. We invite all to stay and dig deeper into the Word of God with others.
